Andre Wittstock, Group Manager of Controlling
A family-run company that appreciates its employees
Thanks to my mother, who has worked at ECE for about 10 years, I have always known that ECE is a very employee-friendly, family-run company.
I was hired as a Controller in 2002 and became responsible for the economic controlling of several businesses. I was given the freedom to work independently. Dealing with increasingly complex issues, projects and the smaller management tasks associated with them enabled me to grow both personally and professionally. Two important aspects that played a role were the constant dialogue with investors and specialist departments, and taking seminars and training courses to expand my skills. Since my promotion in 2007, I’ve been working as a Group Manager and am responsible for six employees, both in their functions and discipline.
Due to the company’s rapid growth, there are always new and interesting fields of work, challenges and opportunities to advance professionally. The interdisciplinary collaboration of teams from different departments is, in my opinion, one of the key factors in ECE’s success.
Because ECE is not bureaucratic and set in its ways as far as processes and decision-making are concerned, ideas can be submitted at any time and evaluated quickly thanks to a short decision-making process. The company is primarily interested in optimum results, not in adhering to rules and processes that are set in stone. ECE’s focus lies in a forward-looking approach and social commitment.
