Mariana Theiling, Senior Specialist Engineer
Information exchange is everything!
ECE appealed to me from the start due to its size and the opportunity it provides as an employer to switch from the planning to the construction side. I wasn’t aware of just how complex the opportunities were until my first interview. What most appealed to me was the opportunity to create and expand a Lighting department, which at that time did not exist. I have since achieved my first goal: a Lighting team is now in operation and I am the Senior Engineer with four employees.
Compared to my previous work, I can now make considerably more decisions. I can make recommendations and also have an influence on the finished product.
What was truly exciting for me was the Phoenix-Center: that was the first project to feature my personal concept. The same goes for Nova Eventis, where we did almost everything you can possibly do with light.
With so many different fields of business under one roof, information exchange is a natural consequence. This is not the case in many other companies. This also results in an increased level of expertise being shared and therefore an additional learning effect. Working together with so many different people is lots of fun and brings with it new insights. Interesting seminars and working independently in the company have also shaped me personally.
